Introduction
EasyCC is operated by NTEK AI LLC, doing business as EasyCC ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application and website.
By using EasyCC, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Account creation date and waitlist position (if applicable)
- Referral information (if you were invited by another user)
- Optional profile information you choose to provide inside the app, such as your name, role, company name, writing style preferences, or team description
Local Data Processing
EasyCC is a desktop application that runs locally on your computer. Your files and documents are processed entirely on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to the files you work with in the application. Version history is stored in a local database on your computer.
On-Device Learning
To tailor suggestions to how you work, EasyCC records a local record of chat interactions, tool approvals, and skill usage on your device, and periodically summarizes them into preferences. This data never leaves your computer and is never sent to us or any third party. You can turn this off or clear the data at any time from the "Your Context" section of Settings.
Feedback Submissions
When you submit feedback through the app, we receive what you choose to include in the submission: a description of your feedback, optionally your email address, optionally basic system information (operating system, app version, recent application logs), and optionally a screenshot. Logs are scrubbed of file contents before submission. Feedback is used only to improve the product and to respond to you.
Local Proxy
To improve performance and reduce token costs, EasyCC routes AI traffic through a proxy that runs locally on your own computer. The proxy adds caching headers and then forwards requests to the AI provider you have configured. No request or response data is logged, stored, or transmitted to us.
Optional Features (Future)
We may introduce optional features in the future, such as:
- Cloud Sync: If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, we would store data necessary to provide that feature. This will be strictly opt-in.
- Usage Analytics: If you choose to help us improve EasyCC, you may opt in to share anonymized usage patterns. This will be strictly opt-in and clearly disclosed.
These features are not currently active. We do not currently collect analytics or usage data. When we launch any such feature, we will update this Privacy Policy and ask for your consent before enabling it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Send you important updates about your account, access status, and security notifications
- Communicate about new features and product updates (you can opt out of these communications)
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Manage our waitlist and referral program
AI Providers
EasyCC connects to an AI provider of your choosing. You supply your own credentials, and your prompts and the AI's responses travel from your device to the provider you selected. We do not receive, process, or store the content of your conversations.
Supported providers include:
- Anthropic (Claude) — direct account or API key. Privacy policy
- Amazon Bedrock — Privacy policy
- Google Vertex AI — Privacy policy
- Microsoft Foundry — Privacy policy
- Custom gateway (for example Airia, OpenRouter, LiteLLM) — subject to the privacy terms of the gateway provider you configure.
Your use of any AI provider is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Please review them before configuring EasyCC to use that provider.
Extensions and Connected Tools
EasyCC supports adding external tools and connectors (for example, Model Context Protocol servers). When you connect such a tool, the content you direct to it is sent to that tool's operator under that operator's terms. We do not operate or have access to those tools. You are responsible for choosing which tools to connect and for reviewing their terms.
Subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with the following service providers who help us operate our services:

AI providers you configure (Anthropic, Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry, or a custom gateway) process prompts and responses under their own terms. See the AI Providers section above.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- Account data is stored in secure, encrypted databases
- Credentials are stored in your operating system's keychain (Windows Credential Manager, macOS Keychain, Linux Secret Service) — never in plaintext
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
Since EasyCC runs locally on your device, your files and documents never leave your computer unless you explicitly choose to share them.

Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Delete your data: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in our emails
- Correct your data: Request corrections to any inaccurate information

Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Age Requirement
EasyCC is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hey@easycc.app so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website and inside the app. Your continued use of EasyCC after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
